How Fast They Grow!

Ohhh how cute is this bubba! Introducing the very lovely James who also happened to be one of our cover babes in our  Jinky shoot back in July. James was only 10 days old at the time and as you can see was one sleepy little bubba, he is now 12 weeks and what a charmer.

It reminds us just how fast time travels in those early days. Make sure every moment is savoured as before you know it you have a 10 year old on your hands and the saying “little people little problems, big people big problems” is just so true!

We have boys fashion covered for Summer 08

If we had $1.00 for every time we heard there is nothing out there for boys to wear we would be loaded! The truth is little fellas are so simple to dress its crazy and as for variety there is plenty.

Its simple really, a funky t-shirt, a cool pair of shorts, a favourite pair of shoes (we personally love Crocs but keep that one quite there is a big anti-Croc mafia out there!) and your little guy will be ready for action. We have been fans of Snugglebum since their conception, season after season they have proved to be the hottest PJs on the block. We are not quite sure why but pop down to your local department store and look at the PJs and its so hard to find any that are 100% cotton! Snugglebum cover all bases very cute, practical and 100% cotton, just what you need in the perfect pair of Pjs! Lets face it the little folk in our lives spend 12 hours plus a day in pjs, its important to ensure their little bodies can breath and are comfortable.

Would You? Could You?

Daily we receive a ton of emails at The Hip Infant, people kindly sharing with us the latest and greatest product they have on offer and enquiring as to whether it is something we may want to stock. They come from all over the world and yes we are very flattered to receive them.

Sometime there are things that really catch our eye as a would you? could you? kind of product. So we have to share this little beauty. The Baby care cart is a carry all that a parent can take out on walks in the sunshine (yes true) and have everything on hand that a baby could need. Now there seem to be a few flaws, where does the baby go? does it handle the rough and tough of the unpredictable suburban terrain? and lastly is it really necessary to take all of that out on a walk in the sunshine?

We have to admit we had a good laugh (well actually a huge tear inducing belly laugh really), but as to whether you think its a great idea of not we shall leave it up to you to decide.

Who Needs Floaties?

If you have been browsing The Hip Infant since its launch, you will know we have been crazy fans of Cuddle Fish.  On a totally personal note the Buoyancy Swimsuits in particular have been a lifesaver and we believe they are responsible for the little hipsters swimming skills that have developed quite early. Yes the hipsters do have swimming lessons but the confidence the Bouyancy swimsuit has given them has been invaluable.

So whats so great about them….well firstly there are no zippers, buttons, snaps or fasteners to fiddle with its an easy on off action. Unlike floaties and vests the buoyancy swimsuits keeps little people upright, often other buoyancy devices will have a tendency to tip little people face first a little on the scary side and best avoided. Each buoyant vessel in the swimsuit can be taken out, so as you child becomes more competent  you remove one or two and let them work a little harder…just a tip, the pride on their little faces as the vessels are removed is priceless! lastly they are definitely the coolest looking swimmers around so check them out…and while you are there look at the whole range the new bucket hats are divine!

P.S Hopefully it goes without saying that adult supervision is required, but just in case please watch you little ones at all times in and around water.

We made a Booo Boo and have a spare starsign  ID Tee with the name CHRISTOPHER on it. There’s a clincher though. It very much narrows the field…he must be a Taurus and a size 00 (approx 3 months)
