How Fast They Grow!

Ohhh how cute is this bubba! Introducing the very lovely James who also happened to be one of our cover babes in our  Jinky shoot back in July. James was only 10 days old at the time and as you can see was one sleepy little bubba, he is now 12 weeks and what a charmer.

It reminds us just how fast time travels in those early days. Make sure every moment is savoured as before you know it you have a 10 year old on your hands and the saying “little people little problems, big people big problems” is just so true!

We have boys fashion covered for Summer 08

If we had $1.00 for every time we heard there is nothing out there for boys to wear we would be loaded! The truth is little fellas are so simple to dress its crazy and as for variety there is plenty.

Its simple really, a funky t-shirt, a cool pair of shorts, a favourite pair of shoes (we personally love Crocs but keep that one quite there is a big anti-Croc mafia out there!) and your little guy will be ready for action. Check out the new summer range from OUCH they have the coolest selection of hot tees and shorts ever!

Now just in case you were wondering the OUCH music festival violet tee is hot! it suits all little boys whether they be Blondie’s or brunettes and is very now…so don’t pass it up.

Hot Summer PJs Now In Stock!

We have been fans of Snugglebum since their conception, season after season they have proved to be the hottest PJs on the block. We are not quite sure why but pop down to your local department store and look at the PJs and its so hard to find any that are 100% cotton! Snugglebum cover all bases very cute, practical and 100% cotton, just what you need in the perfect pair of Pjs! Lets face it the little folk in our lives spend 12 hours plus a day in pjs, its important to ensure their little bodies can breath and are comfortable.

Who Needs Floaties?

If you have been browsing The Hip Infant since its launch, you will know we have been crazy fans of Cuddle Fish.  On a totally personal note the Buoyancy Swimsuits in particular have been a lifesaver and we believe they are responsible for the little hipsters swimming skills that have developed quite early. Yes the hipsters do have swimming lessons but the confidence the Bouyancy swimsuit has given them has been invaluable.

So whats so great about them….well firstly there are no zippers, buttons, snaps or fasteners to fiddle with its an easy on off action. Unlike floaties and vests the buoyancy swimsuits keeps little people upright, often other buoyancy devices will have a tendency to tip little people face first a little on the scary side and best avoided. Each buoyant vessel in the swimsuit can be taken out, so as you child becomes more competent  you remove one or two and let them work a little harder…just a tip, the pride on their little faces as the vessels are removed is priceless! lastly they are definitely the coolest looking swimmers around so check them out…and while you are there look at the whole range the new bucket hats are divine!

P.S Hopefully it goes without saying that adult supervision is required, but just in case please watch you little ones at all times in and around water.

Babycino Anyone?

We are thrilled to bits to announce the arrival of I Love My Babycinos! the brainstorm and very much a passion of mum and designer Katrina Thomson, who spent alot of time in her local cafe sipping on Babycinos with her little ones. This book not only enlightens on education facts such as days of the week and colours, its pics are a colourful feast and its hard cover ensures its sturdy enough to be dragged from cafe to cafe. This book is a real find and we know the one to four year old cafe set will love it.

Incidently Katrina also happens to be the very talented designer behind ID Tees very funky range of personalised t-shirts, keep an eye out on The Hip Infant she has been a busy girl and her range has expanded so keep an eye out for new designs.

Happy Birthday To You

We are loving our new Birthday Tees ! so totally cool and they really do make the perfect birthday outfit. Also and obviously they are not just limited to one special day of the year…they can be worn all year round.

In our signature stripes and quality 100% cotton weave it is the perfect tee. Team with a pair of jeans or denim skirt for a hot look and viola! your little hipster is set for their big day (or year).

Really Cool Little Socks…..

We know, we know boxed socks are a dime a dozen these days, but when we stumbled upon Jazzy Toes we could not resist for a few reasons.

Firstly they have the most divine range of Mary Janes ever!

What’s so special about them we hear you say? well they come in the larger 12-24 months size which is great news, as other brands only go up to 12 months. Again unlike other brands the Mary Jane (shoe) part is coloured in soft pink, lilac and mint unlike the more traditional black pairs that can be quite harsh on little babes.

Also check out their great Sneakers they also come in the larger size and the colours are fab. There are also a few styles that are totally different and very cool the Deck Shoes and Cowboy Boots are defiantly worth a mention.

Each box of Jazzy Toes contains six pairs of socks. They are made from 75% cotton, 20% nylon, 5% spandex which means they have enough oomph to stay in shape yet still gentle on babies feet.

Models Wanted!

It is with absolute pleasure that we announce the fabulous Barb Uil from Jinky Art is again gracing us with her amazing photography skills. It seems its just not us that is obsessed with her check out what her fans worldwide are saying, they call it Jinky-Fied!

Which bring us to this…we need models! mainly newborns 2-4 weeks but please if you have a baby that loves showing of for the camera flick us an email attach a pic of your little treasure (please resize it to 400 pixels if possible, as huge files take ages to open and mess with our already overloaded email server)

Each lucky babe chosen gets the pleasure of spending an hour with Barb, a few complimentary images and of course the opportunity to star on The Hip Infant and all advertising paraphernalia…trust us its great viewing for the grandparents and certainly something for the memory book! The shoot date is set for early July in Willoughby Sydney.

Check out our very own divine little Miss Hip … Coco..our baby is growing so fast, she has almost hit the terrible twos! It seems like just yesterday Barb took this photo (almost a year ago)..sigh. But one things for sure our Coco & Eli muslin wraps are as lush and as loved as ever, mums still rave about them and they really are the most unique muslin wrap on the market.
